Storybook Walk Kick-off Event
July Story Walk Kick-off to Include Free Books and Ice Cream
Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust is partnering with the North Country Prenatal/Perinatal Council, Inc.’s YEAH! Program and the Lowville Free Library to present a Story Walk at the Maple Ridge Center, 7421 East Road, Lowville. The kick off celebration will be held on Saturday, July 30th from 11:00 am to Noon.
The kick-off event is free and open to the public, with no reservations needed. The first 100 people at the kick-off celebration will receive their very own copy of the book featured on the walking trail, as well as free ice cream provided by Fireman Tom’s Ice Cream Truck!
Can’t make the kick-off celebration? You can visit any day from July 30th through August 15th, as the story walk pages will be in place on the trail at the Maple Ridge Center for a self-guided experience, weather permitting.
The North Country Prenatal/Perinatal Council, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening maternal and family health by identifying service needs and improving access to care through community collaboration, education and referral for the well-being of every woman, every child, and every family. NCPPC provides services and programming in Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence Counties.
Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust is a non-profit regional organization that helps private landowners protect working forest, farm, recreation and wild lands in the Tug Hill region. The Land Trust increases the awareness, appreciation and stewardship of the Tug Hill region through publications, field trips, special events and community programs for kids and their families.
